The 4th Annual Field of Dreams was held in Garden City Kansas. Track owner Eric Larson’s even hosted a strong field of Mod buggy drivers including returning champion from last year Cody Neumandol and several others from the Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado. Gary qualified 8th overall, and had a part failure in a1, but came back in a2 to finish 7th and in a3 to finish 8th. My X Factory X6sq. was incredibly fast using a Novak Havok Pro sc and a Novak 8.5 motor, Xcelleron batteries, and Panther tires. Gary O ran soft bobcat fronts, and SS Switch 2.0 rears. The tires provided excellent traction and wear on the medium bite clay track. The groove that developed was nice, but dusty outside the line. In 2wd  mod SCT, Gary ended up qualifying 5th overall, battling with motor and handling problems. Gary ended up on soft switch 2.0s for the front and a set of ss switch 2.0 for the rears for the mains. In A1 Gary took 3rd, A2  2nd, and in a 3  2nd. This put Gary tied for points for 2nd overall with the tiebreaker. Great job Gary!

LSR Raceway launched their  ” Thursday Night Nats series”  sponsored by Tekin and BMiller Racing last Thursday. Panther team driver Brian Strange took the Tq and 1st place in Mod 2wd Buggy with his TLR 22 riding on Panther Raptors in pink along with Bobcats in pink compound also. Brian had the fastest laps of the evening with this tire package. 3rd place driver Justin Moon was also riding on Panther tires.

This past weekend B.R.P. in Lakeport CA which is near the Northwestern coastline held their first Annual Epic Freeze. It’s called the Epic Freeze for a good reason as it’s outdoor with the track under a cover and in the mornings it was 20-28 degrees out! The event was a blast and track was awesome with a very technical layout and high bite on smoothy tires. Tire of choice for this event were Panther Slicks in clay compound. TLR’s Phillip Atondo showed for the event and a lot of fast racers from the Nor-Cal area. Atondo TQ’ed and won the first 2 A mains in exp 2wd mod buggy with his Tekin powered TLR 22 with a Redline 8.5 and also went on to win the first 2 A mains with his Tekin Rx8 Pro 4 powered Losi Ten-SCTE which were all powered by Xcelorin batteries riding on Panther Tires.

Round 3 @ Palm Desert

TQ’d and won on Soft Switch 2.0’s with closed cell inserts.  The track was “glued” and offered tons of bite, but broke up into a dry dust as the day progressed.

Round 4 @ Racer’s Haven

TQ’d and won again on Soft Switch 2.0’s with closed cell inserts.  The track was dry clay with medium bite and a light layer of dust on top.

Round 5 @ Pegasus

Qualified 2^nd, but drove clean and consistent to win my third round in a row.  I used soft V-Ribs and super soft Raptors with standard white foams.  The track had a clay base with loose dirt on top and was watered throughout the day.

Round 6 @ West Coast

TQ’d and won on clay Switch 2.0’s with  closed cell inserts.  The track was made of high traction clay and had little to no tire wear. The clay was kept moist, lightly watered every 10 races or so.

Round 7 @ OCRC

Qualified 5^th and finished 5^th on clay Switch 2.0’s with closed cell inserts.  The track was again made with high traction clay, but it was kept very dry with a blue groove forming.

Round 8 @ Hot Rod Hobbies

Qualified 5^th, but finished 4^th on soft Switch 2.0’s with closed cell inserts.  The track was dry, high traction blue groove.

Panther Team Pilot Mark Kimley wins the Inaugural  East Coast RC Raceway’s X-Mas Classic! Mark TQ’d  Won the 2wd Pro 2 SC A-main using Super Soft Boas front and rear. Mark also managed to take the Win in the Pro 4 SC division from 2nd place on the grid using Super Soft Panther Raptors!
